Changes

New changes have arrived and once I'm ready to explain I will , but until then..... This blog is pretty much dead LOL I'm horrible. I used to be good at doing blogs....

I'd like to mention that b eing in a five year relationship absolutely means shit until you have a real ring on your finger and you're progressing in your relationship. Otherwise apparently men just keep lying to get what they want.

However, I do miss Jay, alot, but its time to move on.

New Job.....

I will tell you that the first day of training was subpar. I say subpar because I barely stayed awake. I would have thought , seeing as it's your first day, they would have talked more about EDS and the job.... but nope. hehe!

It's okay though. We played around looking/reading into the history of EDS and all that. Tried to fix everyone's login crap.... I swear, that shit never works out the first day of training. You always have problems, but that's okay too.

Tomorrow we should learn more about the HP Pre-Sales - and what to do with our programs that we have. It should be fun. I actually ventured onto our few programs we used, pretty cool. I think I got it down pat :)

Anyway, that's an update from me tonight. More tomorrow, I promise!

The history of the Frogs!

I have owned my Tomato Frogs between March and up to now. I got my first guy (Pesto) in March, the second (Ragu) in April and my ~3week old guy (Ketchup) in May. They're great pets - if you were looking for a frog for your child or even for yourself!

My husband and I just adore them. I mean, we can not pet them, or hold them like you would on a tree frog, but it's still the same. They're actually not too hard to take care of, but you would need to read a ton of sites before you chose the frog you'd want.

The day we first got Pesto was kind of spontaneous, as we were only looking, but I fell in love with him when we went to Petco. Sure, I spent roughly $150-$190 that day, but it was worth it. We had to get the tank (10g), substrate, moss, water dish, plants (though, he didn't have any for a few weeks...) and a bark of course for him to hide out in!

We learned down the road on talkto.thefrog.org that the moss we *were* using was kind of bad for them. They could swallow it and probably die (well, not really..) from choking on it. So we bought different moss that was a little softer, but they told us the same thing.

Here are a few pictures of when he was -maybe- 3months old - we believe he was around that age when we got Pesto.

As you can probably see in the above picture, we had the old moss that everyone disagreed with. However, he did like the substrate we bought. He used to borrow all the time... then he's older, and he rarely borrows :(

Being new parents to our frogs, here was the setup for a while - before we got a bit creative!

We then bought our second one, Ragu. We did a fatal mistake of quarantine and got yelled at over at the frog forum. Oops! We have learned now with our newest addition however.

Here's Pesto and Ragu a few months ago on the quarantine we did...

Months go by, and we get a bit more creative with the tank. From the Forest Bed substrate to the EcoEarth and Coco fiber - we have a pretty good setup. Actually, the Coco fiber hasn't come into play yet..... In a week it will though!

I actually like the setup we had going for a while. The moss that was in there was pretty good - but as always, they said any type of loose moss was not good for the frogs (or any frogs for that matter), and we had to get rid of it. The green loose moss is what we got rid of - the other big chunky moss in the 'live' moss that our frogs decided to kill. They were growing for a bit, but both Pesto and Ragu LOVE to lay or burrow under them. The plant in there is Pothos - we had only put one in there at the time, to see if our guys would even like it. (And they do!) Later on we had added more pothos (pictures later).

Here's another picture of Ragu peaking out and about..

On May 14th, I bought a 2-3 week old Tomato Frog. We did do the quarantine correctly this time. My husband bought a 15g tank to put Pesto and Ragu in, and the little guy in our 10g tank. I couldn't resist to not buy him - it was either him OR a Cuban Tree frog... I wanted the TF though as well.. but I couldn't afford both :(

We named our little guy Ketchup:

Don't worry, he only stayed in the cup for maybe 30 mins while we fixed his new home.

The top tank has Pesto and Ragu and the bottom has Ketchup. Not a good setup, but where we had currently lived, that's all we could do. (I'm moving our belongings into the new apartment, so i'll have better pictures up of the new setup for them !)

Misc. pictures:

Ketchup:

Pesto:

Ragu:

Both of them together:

And the most awesome-ness pictures of all time!

Ragu thinks he's (or she) a Tree Frog! Ha.

The good thing I know is that Pesto is male. He's been croaking (his frog song!) the past few weeks. It's one of those things a parent loves to hear !

The best thing I can really give for anyone who's looking at frogs and to be sure you know what you're doing. They may not be as expensive as a fish/dog/cat etc, but they are need in a lot of care people do take for granted. These guys are my pride and joy, and even though I do not have children yet, I do treat them as my children. They're a great pet to watch at night, as they're nocturnal.

Well, I hope you guys enjoy. I know for a fact I'll have brand new pictures once I get internet back from moving. Any questions ask away - I can try my best to answer before I have no internet today. I hope you guys enjoyed :)

A new camera?!

Well, I did it. I bought myself a new camera. We looked online on the reviews of three different ones: Fuji F31D, Nikon S9 and Nikon S7c.

With all the good reviews on the Fuji, I decided to buy it. We bought it through Beach Camera and it should be delivered to the house by Friday or next week sometime. I also bought a Olympus 2gb memory stick from Newegg, which should be here either later on tonight or tomorrow, hopefully.

The camera is actually pretty nice. My parents left FL to drive up here to Boise on Sunday. I called them up and told them I'm giving them my Canon A80 camera since I am buying a new one. They didn't mind at all, really. I had that camera, I would probably say at least since 2002. I bought it at Circuit City with a friend of mine back then... I can't believe a lot of people still use that camera though. I would have guessed by now with all the upgrades that Canon has done as well as Nikon that my model would have been out of style. I noticed a lot of folks still used the same model I do, is because when you search over on Flickr, most of the shots people have taken are with a Canon A80 camera. I thought that was pretty interesting to share :D

Anyhow, I'm hoping that it's worth my wild. I just spent close to $300 out of my pocket to get a new camera, which kind of hurt me in the end. I am kind of glad I didn't charge it on my normal ATM card, or I would have been screwed. My rent check just finally cashed, and then the money I payed on my CC finally went through with a few *Other* misc. items that it kinda dunked me a new one... Oh well, I can make that up in at least 3 weeks or so, hopefully.

Well, as I said above, my parents should be in town this weekend OR Monday/Tuesday. I think it's gonna be awesome. Now only if my boss will give me full morning shifts for two weeks, or at least *good* shifts, so I can spend time with my folks.

Anyhow, that's all the updates for now. I got an hour and 30 mins before I need to go to work.. Keep safe all :)

Frogs!?

Oh My! Frogs? No way?!

Well, the other day Jay went shopping for food and the like when my parents called him I think to ask him a question. He said he was out shopping.... wellll noone would ever guess that he was shopping for a little creature for me =)

Sunday after I got off work we went and got our supplies for the frog... the tank, the light, the heater, moss, the soil type thing... Oh yah! And the pond and bark. We sat up the tank and later that evening before Petco closed we bought our Tomato Frog. You can find out more information about them and other frogs here: The Frog.

We haven't got a name for him just -YET-, but we're thinking of Pesto 'Mareavus' Ragu. Mareavus is a inside name off of our WoW guild online. We thought of naming him around a Tomato product, even though Pesto isn't a product of a tomato sauce, we still find it hilarious.

Here are our pictures from the first night of having him up. Sorry for the blurry-ness, it's just that we're unsure if the flash will blind the frog. He's about 3-4 months old. I shouldn't call him a 'he' just yet, as we're uncertain of the gender. We'll know when he reaches adult hood next year. The male frog sings at night, and the female frog does not. I am hoping I have a male one =) Our little guy will have a playmate soon, just not anytime soon.

They're nocturnal so it may be difficult to take pictures of him during the day, as they stay burial most of the day and come out at night. However, all day today it was out very early, not sure why... But he is fine and still living :D

Anyway, pictures:

Say Hi!!!

I, among some, agree this is a excellent picture of him, if I do say so myself!

Happy Froggie!!!

One thing I know that my 3 can handle...

Somewhat. I was just looking back on some photos. I noticed that on the drive up here. Geez - My car could handle a shit load of room, pretty fucking amazing if you ask me. Compared to two monitors and my computer in my car + misc. items (clothes, etc...). Jay's car held quite a bit too for a Miata - his computer, clothes, soda, food, etc.

Just totally awesome. I guess it's a family car afterall. =P

Oh, but you can't always go too far back.. This was taken back in 2005, when my nephew, Anthony and Jacyln were in town - with my brother. They're cute little kids, but annoying at times =)

Spring is coming, I think.

Well, as far as I know, spring is almost here. It's getting to the point where sometimes it rains really hard, and then other times we get a weird since of snow days. Last two days, we've gotten snow during the night and it has carried through the morning. By the time I leave for work (630am) and work for about 2 hours, it all melts - almost. Though, it did started to snow a little the other day at work.

This entire week, it's been snowing in the morning and throughout the day, and it's march 1st! My Job is going okay - I should be certified Barista by Sunday. We were going to certify me today before I got off work, but too many people came in line - so we didn't have time to finish. Sunday should be a good day as it's always slow. Though, Sunday is my first closing shift. Yay!

I like my job, and some of the people around it. I do like my lead-coworker for star bucks. He is *kinda* cool haha. Nah, he's alright, better than the other 2 old ladies that think they're bad ass, but not.

Jay's court stuffed passed today. He's no longer considered 'bad' in the ADA County court system. Either tomorrow or Monday he'll go and apply for more jobs. I'm happy. Micron is on hold right now with all their applications - so hopefully they'll open it back up so he can start working there again. I think I'm going to wait a few months after I get my insurance (should be June or July) and re-apply for Micron once they start the hiring process over again.

I've got not much to say. I'm trying my hardest to pay my share of the rent , and pay off my bills. Working at starbucks - and not getting a discount (since we work off of Fred Meyers), sucks.....but the coffee is so damn good.

By the way, you guys in FL need to come visit us in the summer or winter sometime! I think you guys would enjoy it. It's so pretty up here!!

Hello!

Hi guys,

Not too much to say here. This is the first post of my blogger, but I thought this will be a bit more safer than posting on myspace.com or anything else to where it'd be tracked.

I wanted to make a new blog anyway to allow friends and family members to see what's been happening in my life, and how I'm doing, etc. I think it's a great idea =)

For starters........I don't know. I'm kind of stumped. Haha.

Well, Jay and I moved up here on Nov 24, 2006. I think my parents were kind of depressed when we left that Sunday before, but meh. What can you do? Needed to be dependent (or is that the word?), hey I can't live with them my entire life - Not like Marc ya know =P The drive up there was not too bad, a bit tidious, but not too bad. I enjoyed it, as much as anyone could on a 2000 mile trip.

Our roommates are okay. I like them anyway, they're good people for having to meet me a few times, yadda dadda. Chris works at Micron as a Trainer, and Lacey works part-time at the moment at Bogus Basin here in Boise. The house we live in is Chris' parents house while they're stationed (I believe) in Germany? So it's not too bad that his folks allowed him to keep the house and have vistors stay a long time =)

Jay and I have been good. Our fights have simmered down, which is a good thing. The move was to help get away from the stress, and have us live out on our own. We needed it, plus we love each other. =P He hasn't gotten a job yet, but he will, soon. We had to fix some things up here that ADA County fucked up, should be fixed by March 1st - then hopefully he can work at Micron again.

I'm loving it up here. I spent my 3rd year (twice in a row; the other was with an EX in TX - hey that rhymes hehe). away from my parents for Christmas. Was kinda hard this year, but hey, what can you do? Thanksgiving wasn't really a thanksgiving since Jay and I's time frame of being awake and asleep was all messed up due to the changes in time. We didn't do much as our rommies had Thanksgiving the day-before - since I think on the day of T-Day Chris had to work and Lacey's parents and sister had stuff planned the next day.

Otherwise, it's now Feb. 20, 2007, and we've been going good. With me, I've been working at the Fred Meyer's here in Boise out on Franklin and Orchid RD. It's not too bad. I work both in the Deli portion and Starkbucks portion. Lately for the last 3 weeks , they've had me work in at Starbucks. One person had to quit their job due to school, and found a job that was around their school schedule - and the other one just flat out quit their job because , well, she didn't show up 3 days in a row. Oh well. I've been getting extremely better hours, which in the end, helps us. I get payed every week too , which is also nice.

Well, this is it for now. Soon as Flickr.com goes back up, I'll post more pictures than what I have posted on my other sites, or in email.

Keep it real guys, and be warm down there in FL. I miss you guys!
